Carolien Korf - Expat Coaching

It's not easy...

After you’ve left home and experienced excitement, certain downsides may feel all too familiar. The more practical issues, such as: housing shortage, bureaucracy or weather conditions. But maybe even more significant: cultural differences that feel hard to overcome, the Dutch language barrier or not feeling like you can deeply connect with Dutch people or expats. You feel like you’re not belonging.

You’re finding it hard to talk about this: locals don’t understand you, other expats seem to not be struggling and your loved ones back home don’t understand. Actually, nobody seems to really understand you. And that, my friend… feels lonely. You don’t want to go home, but… you’re not happy here either.

I know what it feels like and I’ve helped many internationals dealing with all of the above. So let me tell you: you’re not alone.

I can help you put your thoughts and feelings into order, regain your confidence, inner peace and freedom, completely tailored to your pace and energy.

Let me help you make the most of your journey and create a fulfilling life as an expat in the Netherlands!

Your buddy in the Netherlands

Hi! I’m Carolien and I mentally coach expats in the Netherlands.

Spending one long period abroad by myself was once my biggest dream. Yet, since 2017, I have worked, studied and traveled solo for 4+ years in 12 different countries in Europe, Asia, South America and Australia.

Besides this, I have been a certified mental coach since 7+ years.

Connecting with locals of each country I went to and understanding and experiencing cultural differences have always been my main focus. Meanwhile, I’m as cheesy as a Dutch one can be, knowing the Dutch (working) culture like no other.

I’m your buddy, your independent triple threat. Allow me to form a bridge between you, your culture and your new (temporary) life, as an expat in the Netherlands.
